Shipping policy

At Booksadda, we aim to process and deliver your orders safely and within the estimated delivery timelines mentioned below. We currently deliver books across India.

1. Order Processing

Orders are generally processed within 24–48 business hours after successful order confirmation and payment verification.

Orders placed on Sundays or public holidays may be processed on the next business day.

Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive tracking information through the contact details provided during checkout, where tracking is available.

2. Delivery Locations

Booksadda currently delivers across India.

Delivery availability may vary for certain remote or restricted locations depending on courier serviceability.

If a particular location is not serviceable, we will inform the customer and provide the available options.

3. Estimated Delivery Time

Estimated delivery timelines after dispatch are:

  • Metro cities: approximately 2–3 business days

  • Other locations: approximately 5–6 business days

  • Remote locations: delivery may take additional time depending on courier serviceability

These are estimated timelines and are not guaranteed delivery dates.

Delivery may be delayed due to circumstances outside our reasonable control, including severe weather, natural events, courier disruptions, public holidays, transportation delays, incorrect/incomplete address information, or other unforeseen circumstances.

4. Shipping Charges

Prepaid Orders

  • Shipping charge: ₹40 [For orders below ₹999]

  • Free shipping on prepaid orders above ₹999 

Cash on Delivery (COD)

  • COD charge: ₹*80 [If order amount is below ₹999]

  • COD charge: ₹*40 [If order amount is above ₹999]

5. Order Tracking

After dispatch, tracking information will be shared with the customer through the contact details provided at checkout, where tracking is available.

Customers can use the tracking information to monitor the status of their shipment.

6. Incorrect or Incomplete Address

Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address, including:

  • Full name

  • House/building number

  • Street/locality

  • City

  • State

  • PIN code

  • Active phone number

Booksadda is not responsible for delays or failed delivery caused by incorrect, incomplete, or inaccurate address information provided by the customer.

If an order is returned to us because of an incorrect address or unsuccessful delivery attempts, additional shipping charges may apply if the customer requests re-shipment.

7. Delayed or Lost Shipments

If your order is significantly delayed or appears to be lost in transit, please contact us at:

8. Damaged Packages

If your package appears visibly damaged at the time of delivery, please contact Booksadda as soon as possible.

Booksadda may use third-party courier and logistics partners to deliver customer orders.

The courier partner may vary depending on the delivery location, availability, serviceability, and order requirements.
